Payless ShoeSource unveils Fall '09 designer collection at NYFW

Previewed at a special presentation held at her Bryant Park store, Stacey Bendet's Fall '09 RTW collection for alice + olivia tells the stories of three stylish girls living in some of the world's most fashionable cities: Paris, New York, and Los Angeles.
Always innovative, Bendet's presentation will feature an art gallery with large life-size shots of the fall collection with featured models, Corey Kennedy, Peaches Geldof, and Byrdie Bell photographed by Mick Rock and a selection of models photographed by Brian Boulous along with character themed alice + olivia sculptures.
Bendet's alice + olivia for Payless Fall '09 collection -- her 6th footwear collection for Payless -- will also be featured and includes styles created specifically to complement the French coquette, Upper East Side prep school, and California bohemian design elements featured in the RTW line. A variety of silhouettes including ankle booties, tall slouch boots, and sling-back wedges channel each woman's unique style aesthetic with accents of lace overlay, studs and buckles, and flirty ribbon trim.
As Payless' newest Guest Designer, Bravo Network's Project Runway winner Christian Siriano will debut his first-ever footwear and accessories collection with Payless on the runway next Thursday. The line will complement Siriano's Fall '09 RTW collection -- sculptural yet feminine sportswear that draws its inspiration from the natural beauty of the Egyptian landscape. Sophisticated with a touch of drama, silhouettes featuring rich teal and turquoise recall the waters of the Nile.
The Fall '09 Christian Siriano for Payless shoe and handbag styles take Christian's sleek runway aesthetic in an edgy direction. Each style features Christian's unique chunky conical heel -- designed to look like an inverted pyramid. Golden tones, pyramid studs, hieroglyphic fabric and snakeskin materials also echo his Egyptian inspiration.
