This year, the munichfashion.women Spring/Summer 2009, already spread over two exhibition halls, has attracted almost 40% more exhibitors and almost doubled the number of collections to a total of 300.
This is not only a great achievement for the munichfashion.company, but also demonstrates that Munich is regaining its former importance as a premium location for the international fashion industry.
International focus and upmarket brands
The munichfashion.company's objective – to become the industry's leading trade fair in the south of Germany – can best be achieved by targeting a high percentage of international exhibitors.
This year, exhibitors such as Roberto Cavalli Class, Santoni, Belfe, Franco Bassi, Missoni Uomo, SIEGER and Les Copains attended the munichfashion.men Spring/Summer 2009 for the first time. Other exhibitors included PEUTEREY, Henry Cotton's, HERNO, Marina Yachting and Pringle of Scotland, who have already contributed to the event's international flair in the past.
Dates and outlook
Spring and summer menswear will be presented in Munich from 5 to 7 July 2009, while the colourful women's equivalent will be shown from 16 to 18 August 2009.
The strategic decision to focus on international exhibitors and to offer a professional business platform for the fashion industry are important factors which will contribute to the ongoing success story of the munichfashion.company.
