SONAM MEHTA It was a 'Night to Remember' collection of evening dresses created from rich brocades, pure silk and velvets; with shimmering borders on dresses that played hide and seek with black net over deep tones of silk. Pleats and gathers; rouching and touches of zardosi and resham added to the glamour of the collection. The dress was the favoured look either halter or gathered and often topped with a stylish shrug. Extremely interesting the collection was an ideal line for evening glamour.
TUHINA AND PARUL SHUKLA Drama and some period touches came together for Metamorphosis the collection that played with checks and damask prints for asymmetric pleats, folded dresses, tulip shapes, cowls in tweed, with a mix of net and solids for dreamlike costumes. Checked tight trousers and draped blouse, an almost Marie Antoinette like dress in deep tones of slate, teal, black and dull jade, layered mini with churidars and pin tucked shrug - the collection moved from east to west and then stayed fusion in nature. It was a darkly mysterious collection yet very feminine in nature for that dramatic impact on the ramp.
