Charlotte NC Fashion Week (CNCFW) returns to the Queen City September 10-12 at the Mint Museum of Art. The inaugural 3-day fashion event held September 2008 at the Blake Hotel in uptown Charlotte received rave reviews. An audience of 1500+ style mavens and fashion enthusiasts from Charlotte and surrounding cities were in awe as the city's local talent presented the latest trends in fashion.

This year organizers are very excited about hosting the second annual event at the Mint Museum. The rich history, character and significant role the museum plays in the world of art and fashion lends to an exceptional partnership.

"The couture collection currently on display at the Mint fits perfectly in line with the style, opulence and grandeur we want to exhibit during this exciting event." states Anthony Simons, the Director of CNCFW. "This year the event will be open to more international designers interested in the Charlotte market as well as a number of local upscale retail boutiques and specialty stores."

"CNCFW is even more important this year," states Simons. "Particularly because it presents an opportunity for designers, boutiques and other fashion focused businesses from Charlotte, surrounding cities and also Europe to remain relevant during these tough economic times. This event will provide individuals with a way to showcase their latest designs and collections before an audience of hundreds of consumers and the media."

The ancillary events for the 2009 CNCFW will create even more networking opportunities for designers and boutiques. In addition to the "Fresh Face Spokes Model Search" and model call for CNCFW, there will be internships and educational opportunities for young designers as well as those interested in production, public relations and fashion marketing.

Sponsors for this year's event include; Sotac Magazine, Plitzs Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine, Eventlinks-Charlotte, Elevate Magazine, Scott Jaguar and a number of other businesses devoted to the advancement of fashion and art in Charlotte.
