Emma the muse inspires Nümph for spring/summer

Street city-chick, the colours of the sunrise and the muse Emma make the Nümph spring/summer 09collection a self-confident and vibrant voyage in a feminine universe.

Chequered patterns, tie dye and flower prints in the Scandinavian summer-house style adorn blouses, short dresses and off-the-shoulder tops, while short waistcoats and folk inspiration give the look a personal edge. The colours of the sunrise unfold from blue to purple, tangerine and pink. Sweet, yes, but also self-confident, sophisticated folklore inspired by Emma the muse, who suddenly turned up one day and refused to leave the design room. She is stubborn and Swedish plays street basket and loves organic elderflower cordial.

The collection reflects that nümph is now detached from the Solid-group and today lives with her brother, Humör, in a converted warehouse - like two young, creative roommates who as brands have the entire global village as their playground.

“Just like when I had my first apartment and searched every second hand shop for vintage vases in coloured glass, 50s furniture in mahogany and old curtain fabrics for floor cushions - it's the same feeling of standing on our own feet, we are all experiencing now that nümph is really leaving home”, says design manager Nanett Schrøder.

The collection, moving through a characteristic universe of tailored details, references to the flower children and a distinct preference for feminine cuts.

Our dream was to create a brand from scratch, which is different and stronger simply because nümph sums up our experiences and creativity: cutting edge, twisted, feminine and rough, vulnerable and strong.
