Madonna wears Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala on May 4, 2009 to go with her Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton dress. The pieces worn are as follows:
Anna Hu Monet's Giverny Garden Collection - "Edelweiss" Diamond Cross, D color Diamonds, about 6 carats.
Anna Hu Monet's Giverny Garden Collection - "Icy Grapes" Earrings, Natural colored sapphires, emerald, ruby, and diamonds, about 28 carats w/ Pear-Shaped Drop Emeralds.
Anna is a trained cellist and student of Fine Arts with a Graduate Gemologist Degree from GIA and 2 Master's Degrees from Parsons and Columbia University. She's the daughter of internationally renowned gemologists, has worked at Christie's, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Harry Winston at a very young age, and even mentored privately with legendary jewelry designer, Maurice Galli.
As such, her jewelry incorporates the artistic soul and precision of classical music with the sophistication of royal French Haute Joaillerie and the spirit of Chinese fine art. Her commitment to the absolute perfection is unmistakably visible in her unique, one of a kind art works, from the rare gems she personally sources, to her intricate designs, and to the labor-intensive craftsmanship she personally oversees as her designs come to life by the same elite Parisian old master artisans used by JAR.
Anna Hu Haute Joaillerie is sold exclusively in the United States at Anna Hu's namesake boutique in the Plaza Hotel, New York City.
