Ms Judith to leave Polo Ralph BoD, accepts State appointment

Polo Ralph Lauren announced the resignation of Judith McHale from the Polo Ralph Lauren Board of Directors due to her recent appointment and confirmation as Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs for the State Department in President Obama's Administration.
"Judith was an extremely valuable member of our Board of Directors and provided us with tremendous insight and guidance during her tenure,” said Ralph Lauren, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Polo Ralph Lauren. “It has been a pleasure working with Judith over the years and on behalf of the entire Board of Directors we thank her for her valued and dedicated service. We wish her great success with her new position supporting Secretary Clinton and look forward to seeing the important contributions and service that she will provide to our State Department.”
Ms. McHale has served on the Polo Ralph Lauren Board since February 2001. She served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Discovery Communications, Inc., the parent company of cable television's Discovery Channel, from June 2004 to December 2006, and served as its President and Chief Operating Officer from 1995 to 2004.
