In collaboration with Penther Mannequins and Royal Copenhagen, the Designers' Nest Show & Award is here again to promote Scandinavian design talent at its best and present the award for Best New Talent with a cash prize of DKK 50,000.

Again designers from selected Scandinavian schools will be given the opportunity to showcase their graduate collections to press and buyers at the CPH Vision Fair.

As in previous years an exhibition area will be made available for design students from the participating schools:
Danmarks Designskole (Copenhagen), Designskolen (Kolding), TEKO (Herning), Beckmans Designskole (Stockholm), Swedish School of Textiles (Borås), University of Art and Design (Helsinki), Iceland Academy of the Arts and, for the first time ever, Norway is on board with students from ESMOD. At 3 pm on Friday 7 August, five graduate students from each school will participate in the Designers' Nest show, followed by the Award Show at 3 pm on Saturday 8 August where the winner will be announced.

Patron of Designers' Nest, H.R.H. Crown Princess Mary, will attend the Award Show on Saturday 8 August.

The Designers' Nest award is a collaboration with Royal Copenhagen and hand-painted by artist Louise Campbell. In addition to the exquisite work of art made exclusively for Designers' Nest, the winner will receive a cash prize of DKK 50,000 and a one-year-subscription to the global leader of style and fashion trend forecasting WGSN.com.

The winner will be exclusively handpicked by an eminent committee of Danish and international judges:
Colin McDowell, Senior Fashion Writer for the Sunday Times & Founder of Fashion Fringe
Kate Lanphear, Fashion Director of US ELLE
Silke Emig, Editor, Textilwirtschaft

More names will be announced next week.
