Dufry signed a concession agreement with Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to operate 20 duty paid stores spread over a space of 1'500 sqm at the West Terminal which is going to become operational in March 2010 just ahead of the opening of the Shanghai 2010 World Expo.

The concession contract runs for 7 years and Dufry has already started with the planning of a state-of-the-art shopping arena that carries most of the leading international luxury brands, such as Hugo Boss, Burberry, Dunhill, Zegna, Ferragamo,Lacoste,
Coach, Armani, Hermes, Cartier, Omega, just to name a few.

With 19 million permanent residents, Shanghai is China's most populous city and a world leading commercial and financial centre. Hongqiao International Airport, which serves more than 23 million passengers per year, is considered as one of the two
main gates for travellers arriving to and departing from Shanghai and is serving mainly domestic destinations.

To support Shanghai World Expo 2010, Shanghai airport authority
has been gearing up for an expansion project that includes a new terminal, a second runway and a large-size comprehensive transportation centre all of which will be completed before the World Expo.

Julian Diaz, CEO of Dufry Group, commented: “We are extremely pleased with the award of this concession at Hongqiao International Airport and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody involved in the project for this great achievement. This venture means another significant step forward in direction of becoming the leading travel retail
operator in the Chinese market. We will spare neither time nor efforts to create for passengers an entertaining environment and unique shopping experience”.
