Middle East - the most promising market for fashion industry
Jan '10
Motexha 2010 will be held on 6th - 8th April, 2010 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre in Middle East. Over recent years the Middle East region has become well known for mid – high end shopping and a unique travel experience. Even during a financially strenuous year, the region saw progress in its fashion industry as international brands expanded operations here.

“Dubai has always been a very exciting market for H&M. We are convinced that fashionable shoppers of Dubai will find this new store as appealing as they have found our other stores here.” - Jazz Hayer, VP of H&M Middle East

"It's (credit crunch) affected me already. I started off in New York and a large part of my business was in New York... But in a way it pushed me to the Middle East and Russia and now I'm doing really well over there. It's a massive market for me right now. I've got shops in Dubai, Riyadh, Cairo, Kuwait". - Afshin Feiz, British Designer

"We strongly believe that the Middle East is one of most promising markets today, and UAE has all the credentials to sustain retail development. It is therefore strategic for global brands to make inroads into this market even in times of financial crises." - Lando Simonetti, Owner of La Martina

Motexha, the Middle East's largest trade event for sourcing Garments, Textiles, Leather & Fashion accessories is the doorway to gain an edge over your competitors. Launched in 2009, the dedicated Lingerie & Swimwear Zone is an opportunity to introduce your lingerie, swimwear and beachwear brand to the Middle East region. Meet and network with potential clients seeking mid – high end products at reasonable prices.
