On Tuesday, FitFlops creator Marcia Kilgore gave an interview with UK newspaper The Independent, laying her life bare while explaining the ideas that brought her such great success with a range of products specifically targeted to the female market.
She describes conceiving the FitFlop as a 'real lightbulb moment' whilst musing in a cellulite conference and thought to herself: "Wouldn't it be great if there was a shoe that gave your legs a workout while you walk."
Soon Kilgore contacted the London Southbank University to further research her idea, resulting in the patented FitFlops Microwobbledboard midsole which acts like a shock absorber with a curved sole to gently rock the foot when walking.
Building upon her past success with the FitFlop brand, this year Kilgore brings us a new selection of FitFlop styles, incorporating the Microwobbleboard TM technology into all manner of footwear from slippers to snow boots.
Today there are legions of die hard FitFlop fans, who swear that their legs are more toned and slender as a result of wearing these remarkable sandals as part of their everyday footwear.
And with a new line of colourful sandals and a new Dass men's range of footwear on its way, FitFlops are predicted to be the best selling workout shoe of the summer.
