Lands' End came to fruition with a strong will and determination to outfit racing sailors with an eye for quality and authenticity in Chicago on Elston Avenue in 1963. Now, Lands' End is introducing the newest chapter in the storied brand called Lands' End Canvas at the Lands' End Shop at Sears in Oakbrook Center Mall. While the Lands' End Canvas collection launched online at www.landsendcanvas.com in November, the Oakbrook location is the third Lands' End Canvas Shop to open alongside two others in Madison, Wis. and Paramus, NJ.

Within the Lands' End Canvas Shop, the new branded assortment features effortless, versatile clothing for men and women that is rooted in function with callouts from original Lands' End designs, but provides modern American style. Classic denim is a main focal point for both the women's and men's lines, complemented by essential and novelty knits in both neutral and bright tones. For spring, there're new polos, fitted tees and woven shirts partnered with great lightweight layering pieces. The Lands' End design team took great pride in redefining the brand's heritage pieces with new fits and fabrications while also introducing new items that are certain to become go-to favorites. The collection also offers a full line of accessories for women including jewelry, sunglasses, belts and handbags.

"Lands' End Canvas is a natural extension of the Lands' End brand deeply rooted in authenticity, but all the items feature a modern sense of style with an eased, effortless attitude," said Marla Ryan, Lands' End vice president of retail. "We are happy to bring this collection into the Lands' End Shops at Sears and welcome men and women to experience the newest offering from Lands' End -- it's an exciting new chapter in our rich history."

The inspiration for the look of the Lands' End Canvas space was authentic, vintage pieces – a loft-like appeal with unvarnished surfaces, natural canvas, reclaimed wood and exposed pipes that reflect that same lived-in feeling of the Lands' End Canvas collection. In fact, many of the fixtures were built at the Lands' End headquarters in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, with reclaimed barn wood from southwest Wisconsin. The shop also features a relaxed Lands' End Canvas shopping lounge with a community bulletin board and direct phone and Internet access to Lands' End.

In addition to the new Lands' End Canvas collection, the Oakbrook Center Mall's Lands' End Shop at Sears continues to feature a large assortment of Lands' End apparel for women, men and kids, including accessories and footwear.
