Graduate Fashion Week in search for new title sponsor

River Island has been one of Graduate Fashion Week's most enthusiastic and involved sponsors. From the very beginning the team at River Island made a point of really getting under the skin of the event, and as a result the partnership has flourished. Over the past five years over 90 new graduates have joined River Island's award-winning design team, all responsible for creating the un-matchable flow of new original designs that hit River Island stores every day. It now boasts one of the biggest design studios on the high-street, packed with some of the hottest talent around.

“River Island has always been dedicated to promoting young talent. Original thinking and new ideas are the foundations on which we built our brand. However, we really feel that now is the right time to step aside and allow another brand to take on this brilliant mantle. We have enjoyed an incredible partnership with the Trustees and member universities over the past 6 years, and the team have enjoyed every minute. Creative talent has always been a great source of national pride and I really think there is no better example of this than the energy you find at Graduate Fashion Week”, comments Ben Lewis, CEO River Island.

Terry Mansfield, CBE, Chairman of Graduate Fashion Week commented; “The Trustees and I cannot thank and commend River Island highly enough. They have been such an enthusiastic sponsor, their contribution to the event goes beyond a financial one; the company's dedication and commitment to supporting young talent, from the very top of the business right down to the shop floor, is outstanding.
