Helmsman the new Topman LTD trend for A/W 2010 is a blend of timeless classic pieces with a modern twist. The LTD collections epitomise luxury, with emphasis on design, detail, fabric and finish. Helmsman precedes the Seafarer trend, and introduces heavier weight fabrics and layering for the colder months.

Ltd started as a free-range project with the intent to deliver pieces to a Topman customer whose wardrobe ethos works on the basis of transitional pieces rather than disposable catwalk trends. The success has enabled the collection to grow with accessories being added to the portfolio and the range will now be available in 24 stores worldwide.

The AW10 offering for LTD Helmsman takes influence from the refined garb of sailors throughout the ages. An update on previous LTD trend Seafarer, Helmsman uses layer s and varying fabrics to create a sophisticated aesthetic. Classic detailing creates a new take on nautical dressing, it is smart but with a sense of purpose. Wool jackets with brass button epaulettes are teamed with denim shirts, chinos are worn with chunky wool polo-necks and completed with chunky leather boots. This trend commands authority.
