Oomph & Élan on Women's Day by budding designers of SFI

The Women's Day evening was all set to dazzle with red carpet, stars shining around, lights, cameras and the supermodels who walked in bold, bright colors with wide range of prints. The one-of-a kind sassy graduating degree fashion show, IN-DEPTH 2011 was organized by Satyam Fashion Institute (SFI) Noida on the International Women's Day.

The fashion extravaganza had a lively theme “Freedom in Future”, which was seen with a promise of being fashionable and yet grounded to the Indian culture. There was more to enthrall the audience as the pragmatic theme had exclusive sub-themes like the third kind, Journey of Women, Incarnation of Mayura, Blossom of Tune, Newspaper, Shells, Minimalism, Less is More, Robot, Jungle with many more innovative themes. A visual symphony of fabrics was seen, which took us into a world of glamour and sensuality.

The Hon'ble Dr. Professor, Mrs. Chandra Krishna Murthy, Vice Chancellor, SNDT University presided the function. The glamour quotient was increased by the charismatic presence of an eminent designer Ms. Sonia Jaitleey the chief guest for the evening. The show was choreographed by Mr. Ketan Bhatia and was made a spectacular affair under a shimmering sky of crystal.

The fashion extravaganza was made lively by Shamshir Rai Luthra, a well-known radio-jockey with his anchoring. The jury panel had distinguished members like Mr. Niket Mishra, Designer JN (stands for Jane & Niket) brand, Ms. Aakanksha Jain, Fashion Stylist of elite Magazine Cosmopolitan & Ms. Seema Dutta, Operations and Marketing Manager Head, Kazo the famous retail chain.

Ms. Kim Virk, Retail Head, Carlton London India, Ms. Jane, Designer JN brand, Ms. Divya, Radio Jockey of Oye 104.8 FM and Ms. Neetu Bhadla, M.D. AKS advertising were those special women who were honored by SFI. The collection was flaunted by national & international supermodels like Dona Masih, Aanchal Oberoi, Ankita Jain, Shipra Malik, Mary, Polina, Julia and Yana. Every dress was a distinctive mixture of glamour, elegance, creativity and simplicity, which was giving a unique touch to all the models and making her feel like a star of the evening. The Fashion show was sponsored by aKs Advertising (Add Partner), SAYA Buildcon (Supported By), OXYGLOW (Gift Partner), Radio One (Radio Partner).

Speaking on the occasion Ms. Sonia Jaitleey the chief guest said, “The new millennium has witnessed a significant change and attitudinal shift in both women's and society's thoughts about women's equality and emancipation. I wish goodluck to all the participants & all students of SFI for their future projects in their respective fields. Being a women's institute this was a great idea of SFI to combine their annual graduating fashion show with International women's day”

At last thanking the chief guest, special guest, all women achievers, eminent members of the organization and all guests, principals, parents, students, faculties & staff members Dr. J.P.Sharma, Director, SFI said, “This gala event of SFI had the vivid colors and vast imagination of the promising designers. I hope everybody enjoyed it. This is our second passing batch I hope the junior students will learn and do well in future. With the modern and cultural revolutions of fashion concept having under gone a tremendous change; fashion now is a perfect design, a technology, a science to be studied and to be communicated."
