The fashion awards teams are seeking nominations for our '2011 Scottish Fashion Icon Award' in association with Capital FM. We've changed our criteria this year to reflect the incredible fashion conscious Scots that live and work in the UK. We're looking for those Scots who can really pull it together in the fashion stakes.
It takes more than a closet full of Miu Miu and Mulberry. We want you to tell us about the ladies you live and work with that influence your sense of style. Perhaps it's the way they throw their oversized layers together over skinny jeans, or perhaps it's the way they pull a look from the wardrobe but that you haven't had the nerve to wear for years? Perhaps it's the major sartorial statement on the dance floor that's impressed you? They maybe be permanently black-on-black, but exhibit an enviable elegance that you secretly die for?
You may love them or hate them, but you certainly can't ignore them! . They could be a lawyer, a model, a doctor, a student, a mother, a housewife, a singer, an actor, a librarian, a DJ, or a superstar, but each of them must primed and preened and bang on trend! Come on people, if you've stolen a look from a friend or foe, perhaps they are the one's we're looking for! You could end up as their guest walking the tartan carpet to Scotland's biggest fashion night of the year!
The 6th Annual Scottish Fashion Awards will take place on Wednesday 15th June 2011 at the futuristic Glasgow Science Centre. Caledonista's will take over the entire titanium complex, which is a feat of modern architecture, from the unique 100m high Glasgow Tower to the planetarium for the black tie extravaganza. Guests will arrive at event in style, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz West of Scotland and take to the now globally recognised tartan carpet in front of the world's media.
