The Wet Seal Inc announced it will launch its third annual Model Search on June 9, 2011. The company will conduct a nation-wide search competition and accept entries at all 450+ Wet Seal store locations through June 19, 2011.

A panel of judges, including a representative from Wilhelmina Models, will select one hundred finalists. Each finalist will receive a Sony Bloggie Touch HD camera to film a short video showing why she should be the next Wet Seal Model. All video submissions will be posted on Wet Seal's Facebook page where friends and fans can vote for their favorite candidate.

"We are thrilled to launch our Model Search competition again this year and expect over 50,000 entries. The program builds on the company's strong social media strategy with the Facebook voting component," said Susan P. McGalla, chief executive officer of The Wet Seal, Inc. "It allows us to have a one-to-one interaction with our customer, which is core to our company culture."

Each winner will be flown to Orange County, CA courtesy of Orbitz Worldwide and will receive a $500 Wet Seal gift card, a formal meeting with a Wilhelmina representative, and experience an exclusive photo shoot with a fashion photographer. Hotel accommodations will be provided by Ayres Suites Mission Viejo.
