Titled as Frivolite: Indumentaria del siglo XVIII (meaning Frivolite: the eighteenth century wear), the exhibit features more than 42 outfits and accessories, mostly belonging to the second half of the century.

Out of the 42-piece exhibit, which includes dresses, jackets and doublets, some 21 costumes were donated by the wife of Chilean painter Santiago Arcos sometime in the 1940s.

In addition to the exhibition, which would run till September 28, 2014, several events related to the 18th century fashion such as movies based on the aristocratic ensembles worn by courtiers will also be organized by the Spanish museum.
