Fashion retailer Charles Vogele CEO Frank Beeck resigns

"We wish Frank Beeck much success in his future career." The Board of Directors and Group Management are keeping to the company's new focus and will continue to implement the measures that have been initiated, especially the concentration on the needs of core customers and the introduction of a one-brand strategy. The search for a new CEO will begin immediately.

Markus Voegeli, the company's current CFO, will take over the CEO role on an interim basis. Markus Voegeli is a proven financial expert as well as an all-rounder with a wide skill-set. He has worked for the company since 2009. Hans Ziegler, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Charles Vogele Holding AG, and Matthias Freise, Professor of Fashion Procurement and Retail Buying at Reutlingen University, Germany, and Member of the Board of Directors, will both support Markus Voegeli with their expertise until further notice. Matthias Freise was Vice President Group Sourcing at Charles Vogele from 2009 to 2011.
