Billy Martin's in talks with US footwear concern

Doug Newton, Chief Executive Officer of Billy Martin's USA, the 27-year old 'western lifestyle' brand, known for its cutting-edge boots, belts, buckles, britches, blazers, brims and baubles, announced that he is in preliminary discussions with the Chairman of one of America's leading designing, manufacturing and marketing companies known for its popular footwear, apparel and accessory products.
Newton said it was premature to name the footwear concern, but did confirm he is limiting discussions to this one company, "based on their history of quality and authenticity, their well-established channels of distribution and retailer relationships, and on their interest in a possible national and international launch of an upscale western boot line carrying our born-and-bred American brand name."
Newton also reported that Roy Moffett, head of licensing for BLYM, has been a 'busy wrangler' so far in 2006, not only with our plans for the Billy boot line -- which is being styled by Luca Bestetti, Gregory Westbrook and Cindi Ceva -- but with two other blockbuster deals we plan to close soon, involving an exciting licensing association with a network TV show, and the development of a new Billy Martin's fragrance product carrying the name "Riata," which is Spanish for 'lasso.'
Newton said, "We are blazing some exciting trails for 2006 and beyond, and you can bet the ranch on it."
Billy Martin's USA Inc is not a reporting company registered under theSecurities Act of 1934. Shares of its stock trade on the Pink Sheets under the symbol BLYM.
