Caroline Wozniacki models Adidas by Stella McCartney line

English fashion designer Stella McCartney has roped in Danish professional tennis player Caroline Wozniacki to model her new Adidas by Stella McCartney collection.

The campaign showcases the 23-year-old in an array of all-white ensembles from the new 17-piece range, created specifically for the ongoing 2014 edition of the Wimbledon Championships in London.

Replete with cutting-edge athletic designs, innovative textures, striking silhouettes and strategically placed mesh zones, the ultra-feminine line features an array of separates and one-piece dresses.

The barricade range includes sports bras, shorts, high-performance t-shirts, vests with close race-back straps, tank tops and a limited edition cropped spacer fabric Bomber Jacket.

Commenting on the new range, Caroline says, “This season’s adidas by Stella McCartney barricade collection is amazing. It doesn’t only look great, the functionality of each piece is outstanding. I love the bomber jacket and femininity of my dress.”

Apart from Wozniacki, few of the pieces from the FW14 line, including the skirt-meets-shorts creations ‘Skorts’, will also be donned by two other famous international tennis pros, Maria Kirilenko (Russia) and Andrea Petkovic (Germany) during some of their Wimbledon matches.

The flyaway detailed skorts teamed with an elbow-sleeved T-shirt will be worn by 27-year-old Maria and the fluid asymmetrically ruffled one paired with a sleeveless collared tank would be sported by the 26-year-old Andrea on the tennis courts.

Maria gushes about the collection by adding, “adidas by Stella McCartney barricade allows me to feel confident on court, every time. It is the perfect combination of performance and style, and the all-white collection for Wimbledon is stunning – the different texture combinations look amazing, but they’re also perfect for keeping cool when you need it most.”
