Avondale Mills will continue to close its plants due to harsh competition and damage caused to company's equipments by toxic chemical in 2005.
Some of the operations are still continuing till company gets better deal through which it can save some jobs, informed Stephen Felker, Jr, Avondale's Manager of Corporate Development.
Some of the company's warehouses and distribution centers will remain open till all goods are shipped. Whereas, Gregg Finishing Plant, which accounts for 40 percent of company's sales is idle.
Following the damage caused by corrosive chlorine gas, its main plants, Avondale Mills announced to close down 161-year-old textile company.
