Leading manufacturer and provider of flame-resistant apparel, Workrite Uniform announced the launch of their Dickies FR clothing line, a selection of popular Dickies pant, shirt and jacket styles made from flame-resistant fabrics. Workrite introduced Dickies FR at the Occupational Safety & Health Committee meeting, Edison Electric Institute, Long Beach, CA.
Dickies FR marks the first collaboration of Workrite Uniform and Dickies, both part of the Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Co., the world's leading workwear manufacturer. Workrite Uniform, founded in 1973 and a Williamson-Dickie subsidiary since 1999, will manufacture the new line.
The initial Dickies FR line consists of: • 5-pocket jean • Carpenter jean • Work shirt • Hooded duck jacket
Identical in pattern and fit to longtime Dickies favorites, the inaugural Dickies FR line features Indura and Indura Ultra Soft fabrics, comfortable cotton blend and 100% cotton denim flame-resistant fabrics made by Westex. The Dickies FR line will include traditional workwear features such as the hammer loop and tool pocket on the carpenter jean and a hard hat-sized hood on the duck jacket. Dickies FR is a streamlined set of core styles within the overall Workrite line. Customers can select from both product assortments.
“Dickies FR is Workrite's response to changing safety regulations as well as worker's continued desire for increased comfort on the job,” said Charlotte McGee, Director of Marketing for Workrite Uniform. “Regulations and national consensus standards such as OSHA 1910.269, NESC 2007, and NFPA 70E are compelling more industries to adopt FR clothing to protect employees from potential workplace hazards. At the same time, workers want comfort and the option to wear their favorite workwear styles.
