Playboy men's underwear arrives in India

Launched by SR Mill – the exclusive license holders for Playboy Men's Underwear in India – the brand is targeted at the urban young aged 15 to 35, with whom Playboy would be a familiar concept. It is currently available in 200+ outlets in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Surat and Rajkot, and is fast spreading its wings to other regions across India.
Having established the brand in the market to a reasonable extent with their baseline products – Bikini Briefs, T-brief, Classic Brief, Mini Boxer Brief, and Boxers, the company is now focused in a big way on releasing its range of exclusive, innovative, and flashy fashion concepts that will appeal to the youngsters that the company is mainly targeting.
It is the only brand in India that has come out with Thongs, which have had a good response especially in the metros. It is the only brand in India that is doing rotary printed boxer shorts with exclusive playboy prints that change every season. Another exclusive product is the bikini brief with catchy captions printed behind.
The USP of the brand is comfort; innovative concepts; exclusive prints; and an elegant, high quality packaging that differentiates it from other brands.
The company currently has about 15 styles in men's underwear running in the market and another 10 currently in various stages of production. Among the styles expected to make an appearance in the next month or so are crew neck and v-neck tees, tank top vests in Jersey and ribbed fabric, trunks, and the “Signet” range of Boxer Shorts in attractive fluorescent colors. The brand is also planning to launch its premium socks very shortly.
