Kanz & Prateek Apparels plan retail foray by year end

The estimated market of kids wear in India is $2.9 billion. Among this, organized sector accounts for only $750 million. The premium market of children wear is dominated by American brands like Gerber, Little Tomatoes and Kangaroo, Italian brand Monnalisa and the British premium line Mothercare.
Observing this opportunity, German kids wear brand Kanz in association with Bangalore based Prateek Apparels is planning for a retail venture in Indian market by the end of this year.
According to sources, the retail layout will include exclusive outlets, presence in multi-brand formats and a franchisee model.
