The first JYSK shop opened in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). JYSK is now represented in 29 countries worldwide.
The 1,200 square metre franchise shop is located in the Times Square shopping centre on Sheikh Zayed Road. Master Franchisers FZCO is behind this latest opening with the renowned JYSK product range.
There are plans to open at least 19 new shops in the region within the next four years, in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
“We have high hopes for opening shops in this part of the world, and it is all very exciting for us. For almost 30 years now, our good deals have been a great success in Denmark and the rest of Europe in particular, and it is now our hope that Master Franchisers FZCO will expand our concept throughout the Arabic world,” says Frederik Kroun, Franchise Manager at JYSK.
Master Franchisers FZCO is a Saudi-owned group of businesses that have specialised in attracting retail chains to the region for more than 50 years.
The JYSK Group, which is owned by Lars Larsen, now consists of approx. 1,250 shops in:
