New York based leading children's apparel maker Lollytogs Ltd, announces that in response to last week's tragic Hurricane Katrina, the company is donating 120,000 school uniforms to support displaced students.
The bulk of the donation is being split between the Houston, Dallas and San Antonio Independent School Districts, which working under the guidelines of the Texas Education Agency, are accepting students from areas of Louisiana and the Mississippi gulf coast left homeless by the massive storm.
Lollytogs Ltd, is the maker of French Toast, America's leading brand of school uniforms, as well as other well known brands such as Lee School uniforms and @School, a Division of French Toast.
“As soon as company recieved the news that these districts were accepting displaced students they knew they could help. Uniforms are required in most school districts in Texas and are honored to be able to help these kids get their lives back to normal and their school year off to a good start by looking good and feeling good in new uniforms” said Gigi Gregersen, Brand Manager.
In addition to donations directly to school districts, the company is working with retail partners located in close proximity to the most affected areas. In conjunction with these retailers, Lollytogs, Ltd. plans to help outfit an additional 2,000 students.
“Many of customers were personally touched by this tragedy and were able to help them on the most local level. Philanthropy is of utmost importance to us, and even more so as this relates so closely to education and the welfare of so many students. They are striving to be as generous as possible to most help the victims of these unfortunate circumstances” added Stacy Bobroff, Marketing Director.
