Gurgaon-based Apparel maker, Koutons Retail India Limited is planning to take the retail sector by storm. The garment manufacturer is looking forward for expansion and aims to launch new huge format stores as well as increase the number of existing Charlie Outlaw outlet.
Official sources informed Fibre2fashion that the Company is making a capital investment of nearly Rs3 billion to open 200 new large format Koutons Family stores as well as add another 1,400 outlets of Charlie Outlaw, within 18 months.
At present there are 60 exclusive Koutons Family stores and 605 Charlie Outlaw outlets that caters to the young and fashion conscious youth of the country. Along with this massive project, Koutons is also planning to double its annual turnover and take it to Rs 18 billion by end of 2009-10.
The Company enjoyed good result in Q1 of current fiscal that ended on June 30. The net sales touched nearly Rs1.58 billion, which has given lot of boost to the moral of the apparel maker to go ahead with the expansion plan.
