Textile services company Lindström Group is expanding its operations in India. A new business unit was established in New Delhi in November. The unit will be offering workwear services to local businesses.
Lindström entered the Indian market in 2007. It has now set its sights on the second largest city in the country, New Delhi. In New Delhi, the company will be offering workwear services to local businesses.
Manas Kumar was hired as Lindström's New Delhi Business Unit Manager in the beginning of November. Previously, he has worked as District Sales Manager for Bridgestone India and as Business Head at appliance manufacturer IFB Industries.
- We are currently looking for premises for the new unit. According to our research, there is significant demand for our services in the area, Mika Hartikainen, Lindström's Director of European and Asian Operations, explains.
In order to offer workwear services in New Delhi, a module laundry will be installed into the new business unit. Patented by Lindström in 2002, the module laundry concept allows the company to minimize investment risk and improves mobility, especially in international markets.
Thus far, Lindström has been present in the Indian market in the cities of Chennai and Mumbai. After a promising start, both units are now beginning to expand their reach to surrounding cities within the metropolitan areas.
