Octahedron expansion at 24th Hong Kong Jewellery Fair

September not only saw the largest-ever edition of Asia's international jewelry event, the 24th Hong Kong Jewelry & Watch Fair, it saw a further expansion of Octahedron Pty Ltd into international markets.
Octahedron Pty Ltd is a web based software company selling on-demand business management software to jewellery businesses. Displaying at the Hong Kong Jewellery Fair for the first time, Octahedron received interested from retailers, manufacturers and potential resellers from fourteen countries.
Whilst the software won't be translated into Polish quite yet (as requested by one visitor), the fair has secured many new clients, and orders have been taken up to June 2007.
Commenting on the fairs success, Raeleen Gillett Managing Director of Octahedron noted “Whilst the fair has been a great stepping stone into reaching independent jewellers overseas, one of the key benefits arising from the fair was the opportunity to meet with over 470 jewellers and learn the key issues affecting their businesses”.
“Surprisingly the issues were very similar regardless of the jewellers market. Of real concern to most jewellers was monitoring profit. With competition fierce and markets changing, jewellers are seeing real need to utilize tools that help them track, monitor, review, anticipate and act."
"No longer are jewellers content with stock control and barcode tickets, they are wanting to harness more information and use that information in a way that can help them achieve real success. ”
