Rising exports of tents dominated by China and Spain

The global trade of tents recently has been boosting moderately worldwide. Total trade increased by 10.69 per cent from 2016 to 2018, according to data from TexPro. The global trade of tents was $5,058.63 million in 2016, which increased to $5,599.17 million in 2018. The total trade of tents has risen by 5.39 per cent in 2018 over the previous year.
 
Further the total trade of tents is anticipated to reach $6,521.88 million in 2021 with a CAGR of 5.22 per cent from 2018, according to Fibre2Fashion's market analysis tool TexPro.
 
The global export of tents was $3,164.33 million in 2016, which increased by 9.68 per cent to $3,470.55 million in 2018. Total exports moved up by 3.97 per cent in 2018 over the previous year and is expected to reach $3,986.31 million in 2021 with a CAGR of 4.73 per cent from 2018.
 
The global import value of tents was $1,894.30 million in 2016, which increased by 12.37 per cent to $2,128.62 million in 2018. Total imports surged by 7.78 per cent in 2018 over the previous year and is expected to reach $2,535.56 million in 2021 with a CAGR of 6.00 per cent from 2018.
 
China ($2,555.66 million) and Spain ($120.17 million) were the key exporters of tents across the globe in 2018, together comprising 77.10 per cent of total export. These were followed by Italy ($88.43 million),) Germany ($68.46 million), Poland ($61.78 million) and Netherlands ($60.90 million).
 
From 2013 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by the Spain (376.54 per cent) and China (146.38 per cent).
US ($449.35 million), UK ($240.48 million) and Spain ($132.77 million) were the key importers of tents across the globe in 2018, together comprising 38.64 per cent of total import. These were followed by the Netherlands ($129.83 million), Australia ($124.30 million), Germany ($116.20 million) and France ($97.32 million).
 
From 2013 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export volume, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Spain (347.80 per cent) and UK (158.82 per cent).
