The number of employees in the production of these brands is much higher as 80 per cent of the players in Merter produce outside the region, he said.
Merter welcomes around 3,000 importers daily from 60 countries in the Middle East, Africa, the Turkic republics, the Far East, the Gulf nations, Russia, Europe and the United States. Out of Turkey's target to exceed $50 billion in exports by 2023, the region aims to make up $15 billion, he added (DS)
