Sluggish demand pulls down Asian benzene on May 20

Lower feedstock prices and downstream product prices, sluggish downstream demand coupled with decline in upstream energy prices pulled down Asian benzene prices on Wednesday (May 20).

In Korea, prices were assessed at US$ 720/ton on Wednesday, lower by US$ 25/ton as compared to prices on Tuesday (May 19).

In Japan, prices were quoted at US$ 725/ton on May 20, down by US$ 25/ton as against prices on May 20.

In India, prices were spotted at US$ 730/ton on Wednesday, also lower by US$ 25/ton from prices seen on Tuesday.
