Sales of small and medium online retailers increased by about 10 times during the festival, while sales of well-established retailers like Amazon and Flipkart increased by 100 per cent, according to Google India.

According to an analysis, the busiest times for shopping were in the evening between 6 pm and midnight, and during lunch breaks between 12 pm and 2 pm. In terms of price, a special deal corner offering items at Rs 299 was the busiest section.

Besides the metro cities of Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, the event saw good participation of people from smaller cities like Ranchi (Jharkhand), Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Hubli (Karnataka), and Bareilly and Firozpur (Uttar Pradesh). In all, people from 220 cities in India participated in the event.

It is estimated that about 80 lakh visits were made to the GOSF site during the three-day festival, much higher than the 20 lakh visits recorded last year. In spite of the high traffic, the consumer experience was seamless, and connectivity issues were not experienced like it happened last year.
