Foot Locker, a US-based specialty athletic retailer, has announced a new organisational structure designed to foster greater agility and speed-to-act as company continues to advance its key strategic imperative to elevate customer experience. Andy Gray will lead across the globe in the new role of executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

The senior management promotions and organisational changes being implemented will: connect the company's customer-facing functions globally, in a synergistic way, to enhance focus on the overall customer experience and ongoing engagement; strengthen Foot Locker's community connectivity capability to create more localised and immersive customer experiences, product offerings and community activations; streamline the company's operational and expense structure to drive further productivity and flexibility across the organisation; and continue building future capability and a robust talent pipeline.

“At a time when the world around us is moving and changing at a rapid pace, our new organisational structure positions us to operate more nimbly and develop even deeper connections at the heart of youth culture,” Richard Johnson, chairman & chief executive officer, Foot Locker, said in a press release.

“We remain focused on our mantra to Build, Back, Better while continuing to deliver on our four key strategic imperatives, and we are leveraging our consumer-led offence to further elevate the customer experience across all channels and around the globe. The steps we are taking today more strongly position Foot Locker for both the near- and long-term, and I am confident in our team's ability to continue driving our business forward in new and meaningful ways,” Johnson said.

As part of the new organisational structure, the Company is announcing the following senior management promotions: Gray previously served as the chief merchandising officer for North America, as well as the general manager of Foot Locker US. Gray has demonstrated exceptional leadership in driving consumer-led strategies across multiple markets, and he will be responsible for the global oversight of all aspects of the customer experience including product, brand, digital, customer connectivity, global market planning and store development.

The company has appointed Frank Bracken as the new executive vice president and chief executive officer of North America. Bracken previously served as the senior vice president, general manager, Foot Locker and Kids Foot Locker US, as well as the vice president, general manager, Foot Locker Canada.

The company has named Scott Martin as the new executive vice president and chief executive officer of Asia Pacific, in addition to his responsibilities as the chief strategy & development officer.

“We are pleased to recognise the efforts of Andy, Frank, and Scott with these promotions, and we look forward to leveraging their experiences and perspectives as they take on these new leadership roles,” Johnson said.
