Retail software provider NSB has informed that Mervyns, a leading promotional department store, signed a licensing agreement for Connected Retailer(R) Store, Communications, and Sales Audit.
After its sale from previous ownership was complete, as a newly independent company Mervyns began a detailed search in 2005 for technology providers to implement an all new company-wide technology and systems upgrade, which includes financial, merchandising, point-of-sale applications and supply-chain solutions, all at one time.
To support the new strategy, Mervyns required agile solutions that could be implemented quickly.
Kurt Streitz, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Mervyns said, "We are on an accelerated timeline to replace all systems company-wide."
"To be successful, we require a high degree of functional fit to meet the initial implementation with no modifications. At the same time, we also wanted a system that could adapt easily to our evolving business needs. NSB's highly configurable Connected Retailer Store Solution allowed us to meet and at times exceed those objectives. In addition, their professionalism and in-depth understanding of our business make them the ideal partners to support our plans for future growth," Kurt added.
Stuart Mitchell, NSB's CFO and Senior Vice-President for Store, said, "Mervyns is in a very exciting position to take advantage of new business and technology opportunities, all of which are perfectly aligned with our Store solution. Driven by the Microsoft .NET platform, Connected Retailer Store delivers unmatched performance and flexibility resulting in faster implementations and low total cost of ownership (TCO). NSB is .NET for retail, and we are proud to be able to play a role in Mervyns' success."
