Singular ID Pte Ltd, the brand protection solution provider announced that it has grown its patent portfolio and received important news that further strengthens its existing licensed patent portfolio.

Singular ID has developed an integrated system that prevents counterfeiting, product overruns and product diversion, enabling brand owners to protect their reputation whilst seizing control of a growing issue that scars business around the world.

Based on work that was originally undertaken at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), Singular ID has made rapid progress in transforming the research project into a commercially available system.

While working at IMRE, Singular ID's founders filed two patents that were licensed exclusively to Singular ID in May 2005. The first of these patents, covering aspects of the materials used and the systems that are needed to support the application has now been granted in Singapore, with other filings around the world currently pending. The second patent application, that affords protection to formats of tags and approaches to reading these arrangements, has recently received a positive international examination.

“Although we are currently focused on delivering a turnkey solution to our first major customer, we have also had opportunity to generate further intellectual property. As such, we are pleased to announce that we have recently filed two further patent applications that we believe will greatly enhance our patent
