Fleissner & Albany International to develop patterning technology

Supplier of world leading spun-lace equipment Fleissner GmbH Germany and Albany International Corp announced a mutual cooperation in the development and sale of new product patterning technology.
David Peacock, Vice President and General Manager of Albany`s Engineered Fabrics business, commented, "This agreement between Albany International and Fleissner GmbH will assist in the rapid introduction of new patterning technologies for our customers. Fleissner as nonwovens system supplier has been supplying complete production lines for nonwovens for some time already. With the extension of its delivery program in the man-made fiber section, Fleissner now not only offers systems for staple fiber production, but also integrated concepts from polymer to finished nonwoven.
The combination of its know-how in staple fiber production with its innovation lead in the field of nonwovens allows designing and delivering plants for optimum added value.
Albany International is the world's largest producer of custom-designed paper machine fabrics and process belts that are essential to the manufacture of paper and paperboard. In its family of businesses, Albany applies its core competencies in advanced textiles and materials to other industries.
