Wilsonville based largest sports and auto accessory retailer G.I. Joe's has connected with SelfService Systems Inc, of West Linn, OR, the leader in online self-service business tools, to announce a partnership that will expand the use of the successful Team G.I. Joe's certified fishing and hunting guide program through AdventuresExpress.com, a new online outdoor travel and gear sales portal.
AdventuresExpress.com allows consumers to go online -- at gijoes.com or the AE site -- to obtain information on each of the Team G.I. Joe's guides, and then make reservations using real time booking, and pay online for the activities being purchased.
Additionally, G.I. Joe's customers, using the new online system, receive a gear list of items needed for the outdoor experience so they can buy the gear at G.I. Joe's stores, or they can purchase the gear through gijoes.com. As an introductory incentive, every person booking a Team G.I. Joe's guide using AdventuresExpress.com gets a 10% G.I. Joe's discount coupon as part of the online order process.
The Team G.I. Joe's certified guide program is comprised of 40 of the leading fishing and hunting guides in Oregon and Washington. In order to participate and be certified in the G.I. Joe's program, guides need to meet a high level of experience, quality service and insurance criteria.
The AdventuresExpress.com portal is also being used by a wide range of outdoor activity providers in addition to hunting and fishing guides -- including lodges and hotels, river rafting and wind surfing operators, flight adventures and hot air balloon companies, bicycle tour operators, horseback riding, other packaged activities, and family fun attractions.
