“Success in the Global Village: A SME Workshop on Apparel Exports” was organized by ICICI Bank and AEPC in Jaipur on November 3rd.

REACH Technologies participated in the event as the Associate Partner. The purpose of the event was to create a relevant platform for organizations and brands to address their target audience of SMEs across India which adds value to the SME's businesses.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) form an important part of India's economy. They contribute immensely to the economy through employment creation, investments, innovations and exports. As India interacts with the global market place, many new opportunities have opened up for the SMEs.

In such a scenario, the greatest challenge faced by the Indian SME is to seize the opportunity offered by globalization and rise up to the customer expectations while managing growth in a dynamic environment.

Besides addresses by representatives of REACH Technologies, AEPC, ICICI Bank, Technopak, HCL Technologies, Tata Teleservices and Fitch ratings, there was a panel discussion presided by experts who discussed various issues relevant to the Apparel Export sector.

The panelists involved in the discussion were Dr. NVR Nathan, Advisor & Senior Director, AEPC, Mr. Raghuvendra Pandey, Cluster Head, ICICI bank, Mr. Tarun Bamsal, Regional Head, North India, Fitch Ratings and Ankur Jain, Lead- Business Solutions Group, REACH Technologies. The moderator for the discussion was Mr. Hitesh Mittal, Senior Consultant, Technopak.

It was an attempt on the part of REACH Technologies to address the challenges faced by the apparel exporters and to enable them to look at better integration with their downstream partners. IT enabling them is the most cost-effective way of doing this.

The event was received very well by the apparel exporters and a series of such workshops are going to conducted all over India.
