“Vastra trade fair is a great platform for all the companies belonging to the textile industry. It gives us an opportunity to explain our services and interact with our existing and potential clients,” says a company representative.
The fair, organised by Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), aims at revitalising existing business ties and forging new business relations. It is the ideal platform for strategic alliances and partnerships, launching new products as well as harnessing new locations for setting up businesses in India, said the organisers.
Rajasthan has a significant presence in the entire textiles value chain and it has emerged as a pre-eminent hub in the sector, said the state's industry minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar at the inauguration of the fair. He added that the textile sector is one of the largest sources of employment generation and offers multiple job opportunities to the youth and women.
Close to 70 international buyers belonging to 22 countries are participating in the fair. (KD)
