Asian MEG prices down last week from poor demand

Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG) prices went down in Asian markets last week, due to sluggish buying trends and insipid market sentiments in the region.

During week ending August 30, average selling offers for MEG declined by 1.42% in India as compared to the earlier week ending August 23.

Indian MEG prices were assessed in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 990/ton as compared to US$ 995-1005 in its previous week.

In the Chinese market, selling offers for MEG too went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 990/ton as compared to US$ 985-1005/ton in its previous week.
