Benzene prices went up in Europe in the last week ended Oct 23 due to lift in buying interest in the region.

However, due to poor upstream product prices in the region, average prices went down in the US.

In Europe, average prices grew by US$ 30/ton or 5.08 per cent and were quoted at US$ 620/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In US, average prices dipped by 5 cents/gallon and were assessed at 210 cents/gallon in the last week, a decrease of 2.33 per cent as against its prior week.
