The objectives of the cluster are:
1. To focus on formation of handloom weaver groups as a visible production group in a handloom cluster;
2. To assist weavers in becoming self-sustainable;
3. To upgrade the skills of handloom weavers/workers to produce diversified products with improved quality so as to meet market requirements;
4. To provide a suitable workplace to weavers to enable them produce quality products with improved productivity;
5. Market orientation by associating entrepreneurs, designers and professionals for marketing, designing and managing the production;
6. To facilitate the process of credit from financial institutions/banks;
7. To encourage cooperation among weavers;
8. Holistic and flexible interventions to provide need-based inputs specific to each cluster/group;
9. To promote handloom as a profession for livelihood and employability of weavers;
10. To promote handloom entrepreneurs with skills and linkages;
11. To strengthen and promote networking and market linkages for handloom produce of entrepreneurs;
12. To develop skills and capacities in design and development;
13. To develop handloom clusters with multiple interventions;
14. To improve the socio-economic environment in which the cluster operates;
15. To improve main characteristics of the business segment in which macro and micro levels have been suggested to ensure the achievement of the envisaged vision of the cluster. Likewise, the activities conducted as per the action plan to make the cluster as strong producer commodity;
16. To use the best option in technical upgradation by the training in designing, weaving and dyeing;
17. To develop a base for future monitoring/evaluation;
18. To build initial trust with and among stakeholders and promoters;
19. Possibilities of improving products in association with various stakeholders and promoters;
20. To provide a place for their products in domestic and international markets;
21. To provide common facilities in a common facility centre established under the product;
22. To strengthen weavers' linkages by coordination in a legal society structure. (WE)
