Four trend forums at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel

This month's Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition will feature a total of four S/S 17 trend forums, with a new forum on domestic fashion trends joining the three others.

“Located in the International Hall, the Intertextile Directions Trend Forum's conceptual and onsite design was led this year by the NellyRodi Agency,” a press release from the organiser Messe Frankfurt stated.

NellyRodi Agency also coordinated a trend committee that developed three themes for the S/S 17 season; Digital Native, Street Generation and Gender Profile.

Visitors will also be able to discover what will be hot for S/S 17 in China in three trend forums developed by Fabrics China, namely, Fashion Focus trend forum in hall 6.2, and forums for suiting trends in hall 7.1 and ladieswear in hall 6.1.

According to Messe Frankfurt, the trends in these follow four themes namely, Subtle Happiness, Dynamic Life, Cute Naivety and Full Experience.

New to the Spring Edition this year are four panel discussions, each of which is hosted by an industry association and comprised of panelists who are experts in their fields.

Some of the industry's foremost design & trend agencies and studios will also present their take on upcoming trends at the fair, giving participant's unrivalled exposure to the industry's best minds.

This includes the NellyRodi Agency, Peclers Paris and Promostyl who will discuss the S/S 17 trends.

Other seminars include; A Colorful Evolution by Pantone; Print and Pattern in Fashion from 1875 to 2017 by Liberty Art Fabrics; From Art to Design by Master Fashion Ltd and Mysterious Garden & Arty-pop Ballet – 2017 S/S General Trends by Idem.

Visitors to the fair will also be kept abreast of the latest happenings in the field of sustainability through a number of seminars.

These are; International Testing Standards for Textiles; Hazardous Substance Control (HSC) Practices and Green Production; Prospects of Wearable Technology for Textiles and Sustainable Development & Innovation in the Textile Market. (AR)
