ISKO, the denim ingredient brand behind people's favourite jeans, and the Lenzing Group, which stands for ecologically responsible production of specialty fibres made from the renewable raw material wood, have associated themselves as Concept Sponsor of 'Going Circular', the 5th edition of Fibre2Fashion's Sustainability Compendium series.

ISKO is part of Sanko Tekstil, the textile division of the Sanko Group. Privately owned by the Konukoglu family, the Sanko Group is one of Turkey’s largest conglomerates.

"When it comes to responsibility, we believe there is no such thing as a finish line and, to this end, we are always striving for new ways to improve and develop. As leaders of this industry, we feel it is our responsibility to be an active example, working hard to create a better future," says ISKO chief executive officer Fatih Konukoglu.

All of ISKO products are woven with sustainability in mind and, from traditional denim fabrics to patented technologies, they are created at the most advanced technological level. To promote a responsible mindset and support its customers’ objectives, each year ISKO creates hundreds of new fabrics made of innovative and responsible fibres. Through products featuring reused, recycled, organic and other preferred materials which are certified by third parties, ISKO’s sustainability focus keeps on revolutionising the denim and woven industry.

On the other hand, the business model of the Lenzing Group goes far beyond that of a traditional fibre producer. Together with its customers and partners, Lenzing develops innovative products along the value chain, creating added value for consumers. The Lenzing Group strives for the efficient utilisation and processing of all raw materials and offers solutions to help redirect the textile sector towards a closed-loop economy.

The Lenzing Group’s high-quality fibres form the basis for a variety of textile applications ranging from elegant ladies clothing to versatile denims and high-performance sports clothing. Due to their consistent high quality, their biodegradability and compostability, Lenzing fibres are also highly suitable for hygiene products and agricultural applications.

Further, Lenzing strives to identify and develop cross-industry business cases to make progress in instituting circularity at Lenzing and throughout the industry. With its contributions to developing methods and tools, Lenzing helps the industry to progress on its path towards a more sustainable future.

The online version of 'Going Circular' showcases sustainability initiatives taken by various Indian and global companies, sustainable products launched by them, and their planned circularity initiatives.

Sustainable fashion is 'going circular'. Circular fashion is based on the fundamental principles of circular economy and sustainable development, and concerns the entire lifecycle of a fashion product-from design and sourcing, to production, transportation, storage, marketing and sale, as well as the user phase and the product’s end of life.

The compendium is Fibre2Fashion's contribution in transforming the existing system into a circular economy.
