EFL (Expofreight), a leading logistics provider in the Indian subcontinent, has announced the appointment of three new independent directors to its international board. Ram Menen, Stephen Dearnley and Mike Sherman have joined as independent directors. The appointment is part of the company's efforts to add international expertise to its management team.

In their new roles, the directors will guide EFL’s global expansion strategy as the company aims to become the first global logistics brand originating from the Indian subcontinent.

"I am extremely pleased to welcome Menen, Dearnley and Sherman to the EFL team. Each of them comes from a different area of supply chain expertise and their collective insights and knowledge will drive EFL towards the next stage of our ambitious plans. Their appointments are in line with our efforts to keep raising the bar towards developing innovative solutions and becoming more technology enabled," said founder and president Hanif Yusoof.

"Over the years, we have worked with Menen, Dearnley and Sherman in their various roles and have seen them transform companies and make them global brands. We are excited to have them on board and engage with them at this significant stage in our journey," S Senthilnathan, CEO of EFL Group and managing director for India said.

With more than 35 years of experience in freight and logistics, Dearnley retired from DB Schenker - Asia Pacific as CEO in 2011. Menen has experience of three decades in the modern air cargo industry with his last role as the divisional senior vice president - cargo at the Emirates. Sherman has also worked with some of the largest retail brands such as Limited Brands, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Sony. (RR)
