Second Nepal Trade Fair-2007 was inaugurated by Gloam Mostakim, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh and Ramesh Prasad Khanal, charge d'affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka on Thursday March 22.
The fair will run till March 25 at the premises of the Embassy in Baridhara, Dhaka.
High level bureaucrats from Bangladesh Government and business communities from both the countries were present on the occasion.
Golam Mostakim, while speaking at the occasion emphasized on increasing trade volume between Nepal and Bangladesh. The economic relations of the two countries should be given top priority for strengthening bilateral relations.
Mahabub-uz-Zaman, Director General of the South Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh, stressed that the need of the hour is to improve trade and commercial ties between the two countries.
Stalls exhibiting Nepali products are ranging from handicrafts, jewellery, wood carving, pashmina along with some other items.
