SYSTEX evaluates students' proposals

The SYSTEX project is a coordination action within the IST theme of the European Commission's 7th framework programme. The objective of the project is to align current research and to stimulate activities in the area of smart textiles.
One of the actions is to promote student activities. Therefore SYSTEX organises an annual award for a thesis in the area of smart textiles. Students are invited to send a report about their project to the SYSTEX secretariat. For better visualization, a small video or additional pictures of materials and samples are very welcome. In particular, prototypes and demonstrators are of high interest.
The proposals will be evaluated by the SYSTEX consortium, consisting of key players from research and industry in Europe.
The selected student will be invited to present her or his work at an international event in the field of Smart Textiles, organized or supported by SYSTEX in autumn 2011. In the preceding editions of the award, the Smart Textiles Salon in Ghent, BE was chosen for the occasion. The result will also be communicated through the SYSTEX newsletter and in other SYSTEX communications.
