China will substantially cut import tariffs on 16 textile goods, including blended fabric, linen yarn, tents, inflatable mattresses, life jackets and other products from July 1.
Among them, import tariff of eight commodities has been cut from 12 percent to 6 percent, including chemical fiber blended fabrics and unbleached lightweight plain-woven cotton fabric.
Tariff on five products including flax multi-strand yarn has been cut from 10 percent to 5 percent and duties on five other products like cotton inflatable mattress, has been cut from 14 percent to 7 percent.
Tariff for inflatable mattress pad based on man-made fibers has been cut from 16 percent to 7 percent and tariff on life jackets and seat belts has been cut from 14 percent to 10 percent.
